In my older posting, i mentioned that i planned to have a trip to Surabaya and Malang this June with my bff (haha...). Well, in that occasion, one of our plan is to visit Mount Bromo. Mount Bromo is part of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Yup, and not as like 'park' that you may find in New York or other big cities, the area of the BTSNP is more than 50.000ha! Located in the city of Malang and Lumajang, it has lots of interest, such as Mount Bromo, Mount Tengger, Ranu Kumbolo (a 14ha lake), Tanjakan Cinta ('a love climb'-the climb with good scenery), Oro Oro Ombo (Savana), Kalimati ('dead river'-a terrain in the pain forest with spectacular view of Puncak Mahameru), and off course Puncak Mahameru (the peak of Mount Semeru, the highest place in Java island,
peak at an altitude of 3.676 meters above sea level (MASL). Well, we didn't plan to visit all the site since we don't have much time. We prefer to just enjoy sunrise at one of the spot at Bromo, then to climb the stairs that take us to the top of the Bromo to see its crater. I searched some pictures of Bromos in the net just to share it with you (so basicly i just put the images here from random sources at Google). Enjoy and do visit it!
