Les lettres pour mes amis
Berapa tahun sih kita udah bareng? Ked, gila banget deh hubungan lu sama gw, at least itu menurut gw. Let me explain it to you. Pertama kali kita ketemu di Sastra UI, nothing special except gw sempet kagum banget sama kemampuan lu bermain teater apalagi lu membawa temen-temen luar biasa lu dari teater 70 dan Silhouette untuk bantuin angkatan kita bikin drama buat acara anak baru. Nggak ada hal lain yang bikin gw sirik selain lu punya temen-temen yang seru, cerdas, dan berbakat. Cuma itu aja. Trus gw juga seneng dan ketawa tiap kali lu dipanggil pas malam inisiasi dan bikin senior bengong dan gak bisa ganggu lu lagi (malahan beberapa senior nanya: eh gimana-gimana nama bagus lu? kok lu bisa sih? wuahahaha), you were soooo dangdut that time (inget dunk lo menawarkan tarian dangdut sementara gw menari ala Jacko dan divonis memalukan cewek berkerudung oleh salah satu senior kita...elle était stupide, quoi!). Suatu pagi, kita papasan di lorong menuju gedung 6. Gw bareng les bogoriennes. Lu dari jauh manggil nama gw "Margie, pa kabar?". Gw agak kaget ya, secara kita belum deket, baru berapa minggu kuliah bareng. So, i was excited to respond it ( i was probably over reacting too). "Baik, Deka". Dan tiba-tiba lu menjawab: "Ih biasa aja kali", sambil duluan berlalu ke gedung 6. Wuaaaats??? Gw bete banged. Anjrit ni cewek, kan dia nanya duluan kok reaksinya gitu sih. Ria juga bingung dan sepakat kalau it was rude. Sejak itu gw selalu bilang gw gak bakal cocok sama lo (ternyata sikap sensi gw yang nggak jelas itu udah dari dulu yah, hihihi). So time passed us by. Apa yang terjadi? gw malah ngekost bareng lu. Pas kita lagi deket-deketnya sama Opan, gw malah ikutan gosip sama anak angkatan kita kalau ada sesuatu antara lu dan Opan (argh, i was stupid, i mean if IT IS there was something, so what? bodohnya gw, hehehe). Kita lulus dan kita masih suka hubungan, ketemu, atau sekedar sms-an. Tahun 2005, gw memutuskan sedikit menjauh dari lu, karena gw nggak tahan dengan omongan lu yang tajam, ceplas-ceplos, straight to the point. Nggak ada yang salah dengan itu, cuma gw aja yang nggak biasa (bisa) diperlakukan gitu. Tapi, bahkan di saat gw ngejauhin lu, lu tetep sms gw seperti biasa ( i guess at that time u knew what was happened, since u are a clever girl). Tahun 2005, gw malah pernah kasar banget dengan jelas-jelas mengundang Sri dan Sihol nginep di kost-an gw di Kebayoran Lama dan nggak ajak lu (adoohhh maafin aku ya Tuhan, maapin gw Ked). Di kost-an, gw curhat betapa gw nggak cocok sama lu. And you know what Sri and Sihol said? (ohh they were wise). Mereka cuma bilang kalau ada beberapa hal yang memang bertentangan antara gw dan lu, mereka ngerti kalau saat ini mungkin gw lagi cape aja ketemu lu. And that was it! Ngerti kan lu? Mereka nggak bikin masalah ini tambah rumit atau sok-sok me-support gw dengan setuju kalau lu itu keras, bla bla bla...Jadi isi kepala dan hati gw nggak tambah kotor dengan nasehat-nasehat yang bikin gw tambah negative thinking sama lu.
And then, gw gak tahu kenapa, pas keluar dari Gogirl!,dan masuk djakarta!, gak tahu lingkungan atau apa, gw udah nggak terlalu nyaman lagi berada di lingkungan orang-orang yang masih ribut ngomongin pacar, ngecengin temen sekantor atau bahkan betapa merisaukannya ketika lu pacaran bertahun-tahun tapi nggak juga dikawinin. Hahaha sebenernya sih lucu dan syah ya kalau temen-temen lo curhat masalah yang mereka anggap sangat merisaukan sementara lu mikir kalau masalah itu sm sekali biasa aja dibandingin masalah lu. Huhu lucu kan? Tapi kenyataannya gw udah gak nyambung, saat itu pula gw udah mulai seru ngomongin lembaga perkawinan dari sisi lain, bukan sekedar menenangkan hidup lu bahwa lu terbebas dari pertanyaan “kapan kawin” atau “gw takut jadi perawan tua”. We were beyond from it, hehe hebat yah level kita Ked, :D . Umur 26, the bestest friend i have is my sister, Titiek. Dengan umur dia dan umur gw yang udang nggak bisa lagi dibilang abege(huhu-masih muda loh, teteup...)makin banyak hal yang bisa didiskusi'in bareng dan jadi seru. Anyway, sementara gw gak tahu kenapa, kalau gw suntuk di kantor atau lagi pingin ngobrol aja, yang gw inget adalah lu, Sri, dan Sihol (kadang gw inget Sinta dgn gayanya yang seru dan asyiknya diajak ngobrol topik apa aja atau Niki yang masalah hidupnya nggak pernah berubah karena dia sendiri memilih untuk nggak pernah cari solusi atau keluar dari masalahnya itu. Tapi Niki adalah temen yang gw anggap selalu jadi dirinya dari zaman baheula, zaman kuliah bareng. So i love her just the way she is.). Yang gw inget banget, suatu kali pas gw suntuk abesss di kantor, tiba-tiba aja gw terima tlp dari lu. Lu ngajak ketemuan di Plangi karena kebetulan lu mau kesitu sama Vita. Waktu nerima telp lu, mata gw bersinar-sinar. Ketemuanlah kita di O Bistro, makan enak, ngobrol, haha hihi, foto-foto dan gw gak suntuk lagi. Mulai dari situ gw mulai mikir kalau apapun kadang nggak seperti yang kita pikirin. Day by day, kita malah makin sering ketemuan atau beraktivitas bareng. Malah kadang lo baik banget nemenin gw di Citos yang tiba-tiba aja minta ditemenin gara2 temen gw main band di Soho. Gw pula pake ajak-ajak Sri dan Sihol secara mendadak dan maksa. Dan kalian datang (betapa baiknya kalian dan betapa manjanya gw!). Nggak cuma itu, gw ngerasa sekarang lu sendiri tahu kok membatasi diri ketika gw mulai tersinggung (dgn alasan gak jelas, pastinya dunk)dan nggak selalu mendominasi pembicaraan (suatu hal yang gw sadar kalau gw itu lemah dalam suatu diskusi/obrolan bareng, but again gw menyalahkan org lain dgn menganggap dia terlalu mendominasi! What a spoiled brat!).Belum lagi betapa cerdasnya lu dan selalu bawa cerita2 yang nggak cuma seru dan lucu tapi selalu ada yang bisa gw pelajari (halah..). Lu balik dari Prancis, lu tunjukkin semua foto dan surat cinta lu, email2 romantis lu avec l'algérien itu (je n’oublierai jamais, Ked, parce qu’il a le même nom avec mon boss, wuahaha). Belum lagi suka duka lu di Prancis yang bikin gw melongo, terkagum-kagum atau malah gak ngerti karena gak bisa ngejar omongan lu. Lu juga nggak pernah marah betapa nggak sopannya gw ketika gw lupa cerita lu atau nama-nama org penting dalam hidup lu. Gw cuma beralasan kalau gw kan Dori alias short term memory lost (yang kayaknya kalimat itu jadi karma buat gw ya Ked, hehehe).Reaksi lu juga cuma, "Dasar Dori", tapi gw gak pernah tahu kalau lu kesel atau nggak sm gw. And yet, besoknya lu tetep cerita sm gw lewat HP lu lagi-lagi dengan puluhan nama dan cerita hebat yang gw susah mencerna. So you're not upset to me then. Baiknya lu! Belum lagi usaha lu yang selalu bilang, "Gw lagi di Thamrin Gie, makan siang yuuk..". Gw seenaknya bilang, "Gw deadline, Ked". It was true, tapi kenapa gw gak bisa meluangkan waktu 1 jam aja untuk makan sm lo yah? (Please kindly don't stop trying Ked).
Banyak yang masih perlu gw perbaiki dalam hubungan gw sama lu. Meski sekarang lu masih suka telp gw cuma buat mancaci maki dunia (asal jangan mencaci maki gw yah, hihi) tapi gw hepi banget Ked. Kadang gw kesel kalau cacian lu berlebihan (menurut gw), tapi gw bakal lebih sedih lagi kalau tiba-tiba lu nggak lagi mencaci maki dunia sama gw. Kenapa Ked? Apa lu udah nggak nyaman jadi diri lu sebenar-benarnya ketika bareng gw? Ne soies pas comme ça, s'il te plait....gw bakal terus menikmati pertemanan kita entah sampai kapan. Merci pour être mon amie.

Chère Sri,
Gw nggak pernah bingung kenapa gw ngerasa lu bisa jadi temen baik gw dan gw selalu nyaman deket sm lo (meski blm tentu lu ngerasa hal yang sama yah L ). Lu itu pendiem, nggak ngomong banyak, tapi tahu banyak hal jadi selalu nyambung ngobrol apa aja. Lu nggak pernah nanya yang ujungnya lebih ke ngorek-ngorek atau interogasi, lu nggak pernah berlebihan, tone suara lu selalu pas sm gw, lu nggak pernah tampil outstanding atau lebih di depan gw, lu selalu hepi dgn tampil bersahaja dan apa adanya. Buat gw, hal-hal di atas udah cukup gw kategorikan sebagai ‘teman baik’ gw (jaman SMA dulu lu bisa gw bandingkan dengan Yulita, Afri, dan Dwi-yang sikapnya nggak jauh dari yang gw jabarin di atas-). I always feel comfortable being around people like that. Curangnya, gw malah suka tlp lu, ngajak lu atau maksa lu ketemuan atau nginep di rumah gw. Why? Simply because if u there, i will feel comfortable, if you’re not, i’ll be dissapointed but it’s ok (see, guys, i always exagerate things-caphe deyyy). Taaaaaaaapiiiiiii, nggak cuma sekedar sikap lu yang bagi gw udah cocok atau bawaan orok lu udah begitu, lu punya banyak kelebihan lain. Gw jabarinnya begini aja:

J’ai sourit et je m’est senti très bien content. Purquoi? Parce que tu sais bien que j’aime dessinner, la bande dessinnés, les paintres etc. How nice!
SMS dari Sri:
“Gie, lu nonton Persepolis kan di Jiffest? Titip tiketnya dunk!”.
Sementara gw tercengang (APPAAAAA????). Gile, gw cinta banget sama buku dan cerita Persepolis tapi gw bahkan gak tahu kalau film itu main di Jiffest 2007 lalu. Gw panik, dan Deka ngetawain gw..”Gie, gw kira lu udt tahu, gw udh punya tiketnya!”. AAAPPPAAA??? makin paniklah gw, untungnya gw dapet tiket buat gw sm Sri. Deka masih ketawa-ketawa (ngakunya fans ya Ked, tapi teteup aja ketinggalan info, padahal wartawan majalah paling terkenal seantero Jakarta. Dori reason will not acceptable!) tapi akhirnya kita nonton bareng di Blitz (Deka dan Sri tahu kalau gw suka banget sm yang namanya Persepolis). We wont never forget the first word of that movie: “Maaaarjjjiiieee”. Wuahahaha, gw puas, sementara Deka, Sri, Kiky’99, dan Gustav cuma ngelirik eneg gitu, “Hmm pantes aja lu suka cerita ini”. Huehehehe, apa tuh namanya? Narsis yak?! Yuuuk...

“Gie, ikut yuk tur kantor gw ke Yogyakarta tahun 2008. Kita bakal ngunjungin pelukis dan sanggar-sanggar pelukis di sana”.

Teman gw teraneh sedunia. Temen gw terajaib sedunia. Temen pertama gw yang autistik (au sens positive). Taapiii, banyak banget hal ajaib yang gw belajar dari lu, Hol (termasuk hal basa-basi yang buat lu nggak perlu dan buat kita bisa bikin ngambek sm lu. Mais, tu sais Sihol, kita cuma manja aja sm lu). Inget nggak, kita jalan pulang kuliah di hutan FIB, pas nyebrang ke stasiun, lu jalan aja gitu, ninggalin kita semua, naik kereta duluan dan ciao. Gw sma Ria melohok. Aaargghh, Sihol kok gitu? Dasar kasar! (even now i still think that at that moment we were just being spoiled at you, we were never really upset). Besonya kita langsung negur lu: “kok lu gitu kemaren? Ninggalin kita aja?” (trus kita, the ladies, pura2 marah, padahal manja doang). Lu dengan sabarnya jawab: “Ohhh gitu yah, sooorii, kan gw udah bilang ‘pulang’ pas kita bubaran di Kansas. Harus bilang lagi yah? Oke deh, sori!”. It worked! Kita luluh dan biasa lagi (ya iyalahhh, wong itu emang bukan big deal, sekali lagi manja). Tapi kita nggak pernah gitu loh sama Gail atau Ian. Lu tahu gak Hol, kita, again the ladies, pernah marah dan kesel banget sm Gail karena dia nendang2 lu becandaan sih...but we were really angry. See, we love you, Hol. Dan buat gw, selain lu jago gambar, ngerti Photoshop, punya kamera bagus (efeknya punya multiply bagus, huh!), banyak hal dari kepribadian lu yang bikin gw mikir trus memutuskan: it was a great thing, gw musti bisa kayak Holi! I did (well..some)!
Jabarannya:
S: “Gie, gw kan pernah ngecat rambut”.
M: “Kapaaaan?”
S: “pas liburan”
M: “ihhh aneh dehh, ngapain dicat pas liburan, nggak ada yang liat dunk”.
S: “gue ngecat rambut bukan buat dilihat anak-anak di kampus. Gw ngecat karena gw pingin, pingin tahu aja”.

(Gimana bisa seseorang ngasih jawaban sesederhana itu tapi daleem. He did something only for himself. Because he really wanted it. He knew what he want, and he did it.) Oooohhhhh, Sihol gw, our ci’ol, there’s a great man inside your ‘cupu’ body, hehe.
Kalimat itu gw inget terus Holi. Lakukan sesuatu yang lu mau dan lu bisa. Jangan pernah berbuat hal karena orang lain, lebih parah kalau Cuma buat nyenengin org lain. Just do it for your self.
Masih banyak hal lain, tapi saking ‘aneh’nya, gw lupa. Yang pasti, di balik kejadian aneh, nggak cuma aneh doang, gw dapet sesuatu Holi. (Oh iya, ketika lu ngelurusin rambut dan bilang ke gw dengan foto2 jijay lu di Multiply, tahu gak Hol? Abis itu gw terinspirasi mencoba poni buat gaya rambut gw. Gak kelihatan karena gw pake jilbab? Yeeee, basi yah Hol, lihat jawaban di atas, hihihi. Tapi blm kesampaian Hol, salon langganannya tutup mlulu, hiks. But i will Holi, dan bakal gw tunjukkin sm lu. Ihh kok ditunjukkin sm Holi sih? BECAUSE I WANT IT ! Yessss!!!).
The next project with Sihol is: rekrostruksi website gw ya Hol, tapi seperti biasaaa, gw belum sempet ngegambar Hol. Sejak sakit Atonia, gw nyaris susah pegang pinsil untuk gambar. Tapi tenang Holi, gw masih semangat kok. Mohon bantuannya yah, J ).

Thanks udh bersabar 4 tahun sekelas di jurusan sastra Prancis yang kebanyakan cewek yang cerewet, kena sindrom2 aneh ketika PMS, belum lagi aneka sifat kita, tapi lu nggak ada pilihan lain karena kita classmates lu, hehe. Lebih hebat lagi, thanks banget udah mau temenan sama gw lebih dari 7 tahun. If you are weird, then i’m weirder than you. So, you and i, we are the odds couple.
Gw ngerasa gw nggak pernah terlalu deket sm lu. Tapi gak pernah ada kekhawatiran atau gelisah kalau gw mau ketemuan sm lu. Gw nggak pernah takut mati gaya kalau mau ketemuan sm lu. Meski nantinya kadang kita jarang ngobrol, dan lu lebih seringnya ngobrol sama Deka (menuru gw), tapi itu nggak pernah mengganggu gw. Menurut gw, ketika gw nyaman bersama seseorang dan gw bisa jadi diri gw ketika sm dia, maka dia adalah sahabat gw. And you’re one of it. With you, comfortable i feel (halah sok dibolak-balik kayak Yoda Star Wars-silahkan ibu dosen Deka, dicek!).

A bientôt! - ini artinya kita musti ketemuan dalam waktu dekat loh, Pan!
Oke, this is the weirdest part (another exagerate thing). I even felt nervous when i wrote this. Hari Rabu, 9 Januari 2008, gw nonton film “Otomatis Romantis”, film Indonesia terbaru. Ada adegan ketika si tokoh utama (yang jadi pemimpin redaksi majalah wanita) bilang kalau salah satu tips memberitahukan perasaan kamu kepada si dia adalah dengan ngomong langsung. Dan itu bener-bener nyaris mustahil dipraktekkan. Yes, hari ini cewek emang punya banyak keberanian dan berani berkata apa yang dirasain. Yet, tetep aja lu bakal deg-degan dan gelisah gila ketika lu memutuskan akan bilang duluan ttg perasaan lu sama dia. Hahaha, Riri, lu pasti juga setuju dan ngetawain gw. Gw setuju banget sama adegan itu. Majalah-majalah cewek yang gw baca dan penuh dgn tips-tips romantis soal pasangan terutama soal berani mengungkapkan perasaan sama si dia itu...bullshit! Mau gimana lagi bo, kita org timur, dibesarkan dengan aturan, moral, agama, dan budaya yang mau nggak mau ngikut dalam diri kita bahwa perempuan itu harus menjadi sisi yang dikejar, bukan ngejar; sisi yang dinyatain bukan malah nyatain; atau ujungnya dilamar bukan malah ngelamar kayak adegan Chandler dilamar Monica di sitkom Friends (huhu kangen Friends).
So, di blog ini gw bakal nulis tentang sesuatu tentang lu, Vino ( i know, i admitt it, it sounds strange for me too...but i have to keep on). Memposisikan lu di bawah Opan dan sebelum temen2 gw lain di kampus juga bukan dengan alasan spesial dan berlebihan. It was imply by the time i wrote this, you were one part that was important to me. Oke, makin banyak blablabla, makin gw gugup.

(btw No, kalau somehow lu baca ini (hopely not, huhu) dan nggak ngerti arti kalimat2 di atas, plis jangan nanya sama gw yah. ‘Set (baca: Busyet-redaksi) dah No, gw nulis ini aja udah malu banget, masa’ lu malah nanya artinya ke gw. Hmm, coba aja tanya sama Deka, Sri, atau Sihol. Tapi jangan juga nanya no telp mereka sama gw, lah ntar gw jadi tahu dan malu lagi, hihihihi. Or simply just let it pass by, No. It’s not that important anymore. Yang penting adalah we’re still be friends yah No. Don’t stop to share all your story.

(oh iya, gw denger gosip lu lagi bikin rekaman album? Seriously? Bukan gw gak percaya suara lu bagus, cuma selama ini yang gw tahu suara lu selalu lembut dengan tone lu tuh yang extra douce plus volume yang kecil (sementara gw nanya terus: Apa, No? Hah? Gak deenger gw? kenapa?- suara yang bisa ngalahin suara mesin mobil lu-ya iyalah gw gak bakal denger suara lu yahh...stupid me!). I barely believe you have the power to sing. So, if it is true, please kindly sing this part (this Céline Dion song) for me, okay? (ehemm belajar bahasa Prc-nya teteup sama Deka, Sri, atau Sihol yahh..).Good luck with the album!

Betapa noraknya kita dulu dengan melarang siapapun masuk ke genk kita. Buat kita seginilah genk kita, nggak boleh nambah dan kurang. Wuahaha, dasar abege, nggak sekalian ada orientasi masuk genk aja?! Nope, kita kan anti kekerasan, tapi pro makan bareng. Jadi kalau masih mau gabung sih, syaratnya satu: lu musti bisa makan nasi sebanyak yang Alma makan waktu kita buka puasa bareng di rumah Lisna, years ago. Bisa???

Sulis, Laura, dan gw. We were sooo popular in our junior high. Kenapa? Laura itu blasteran Belanda, jadi dia itu cantik banget. Nah gw? Gw pacaran sama kakak kelas, atlet basket, cakep dan banyak fansnya. Suatu kali di kelas, gw didatangin rombongan senior cewek yang judes2 plus rambut berjambul di-sprayy tahan kena angin dan ujan. “Lo pacaran sm si Mario yah?”, salah satu nanya gw dgn galaknya. Gw jawab “iya”. Sebelum mereka ngeroyokin gw, tiba2 aja Mario mendehem dari belakang, “ehemm”. It was sooo dramatic (i mean his voice of ‘ehemm’). Sontak (halah), para cewek nengok ke belakang, pucat pasi karena Mario udh berdiri di belakang. “Eh Mar, pingin ketemu cewek lu aja, yuk Mar, ketemu di kelas yah, Bye”. Pergi deh tuh, nenek-nenek sihir. I was saved by mario? Not really, i could fight for myself, i could punch them one by one, messed up their hair and make up style. Dan pertanyaan basi dilontarkan Mario, “kamu nggak apa kan?”. Yaaaakkkss, jijayyyy, i mean, we were like, thirhteen at that moment. Nyambung soal Nic-Nac, kita pernah musuhan gara2 gw mutusin Mario tanpa musyawarah dan melibatkan mereka. The tsunami warning was lifted in Hawaii on late Saturday after waves of about 1.5 meters were sighted, without any apparent damage. Beaches were briefly cleared of swimmers, and tourists were sent to upper floors of hotels. But nations further west left their alerts in place for much of Sunday, even after waves proved small, in case of additional tsunamis triggered by the huge Chilean temblor.
Nations took the warning seriously in a region where raw memories remain of the deadly December 2004 tsunami in the neighboring Indian Ocean that killed nearly 230,000 people in 14 countries.
Some of the biggest preparations were taken by Japan, where meteorological agency officials issued the nation’s first major tsunami warning in 17 years. They initially said they expected walls of water up to 3 meters, or 9 feet, high.
In Tokyo, train lines and highways in densely populated areas along the edge of Tokyo Bay were stopped for hours. Further north, officials said they ordered the evacuation of some 570,000 households from coastal areas mostly on the main Japanese island of Honshu, a areas that has seen killer tsunamis in the past.
Television news programs showed elderly residents in Iwate prefecture sitting on blankets in school gyms that had been turned into makeshift shelters. In the hilly port city of Hakodate, on the northernmost island of Hokkaido, residents sat on hilltops for hours on Sunday watching the sea.[/quote]
